Inspection of a helideck and a winching area of an offshore wind farm

In cooperation with Deutsche Windtechnik, airsight carried out a recurring inspection on an offshore platform for its installed helideck and a winching area on a wind turbine. In addition to the existing markings and lighting systems, the fire extinguishing system, the surface condition and the obstacle clearance area of the helideck were also inspected, and a detailed inspection report was submitted to the client.

The purpose of the recurring inspection is to maintain operations for the use of helicopters and to ensure compliance with the applicable safety regulations. The regulations applied here result, among others, from the specifications of ICAO Annex 14 Vol. II and the „Allgemeinen Verwaltungsvorschrift zur Genehmigung der Anlage und des Betriebs von Hubschrauberflugplätzen“ (General Administrative Regulation on the Approval of the Construction and Operation of Helicopter Airfields), which applies specifically in Germany.
