Your responsibilities:

As a member of our Sustainable Aviation Department, you will be involved in national and international project work. The range of topics and tasks covered includes, amongst others: 

  • Conducting feasibility and case studies in the field of sustainable aviation, e.g. future aircraft technologies (electric/hydrogen aircraft) and impact for airports, sustainable aviation fuels (SAF), decarbonization and electrification of airports with their impact on infrastructure, operations and processes (e.g. Electrification, eGSE, sustainable taxi modes)
  • Conducting feasibility studies and planning projects for renewable energies at airports, in particular for solar photovoltaic systems
  • Supporting our clients in achieving sustainability and net-zero targets
  • Supporting airports in strengthening the resilience of their infrastructure, operations and processes to the impacts of climate change
  • Aircraft noise calculations and assessments as part of airport master planning and regulatory approval processes
  • Optimization of flight procedures with regard to aircraft noise, fuel burnand pollutant emissions
  • Advising our clients in the above-mentioned areas, partly on site; supporting the airsight project management in the organization and implementation of consulting activities and presentation of project results
  • Content-related support for our training department in the creation of new training concepts and documents
  • Conducting training courses in the field of sustainable aviation and environmental protection at airports

Your profile: 

  • You have an university degree in aviation, transportation or industrial engineering (or comparable) and practical work experience in the aviation sector of at least 3 years
  • Knowledge in the field of sustainable aviation and environmental issues in aviation is an advantage
  • Flight operations knowledge and experience is an advantage
  • Experience in the field of aircraft noise and pollutant analysis or fast-time simulation in aviation is a plus
  • You are responsible and work independently and carefull
  • Initiative, reliability, and a strong focus on teamwork and customer service
  • You have the ability to set the right priorities and keep an oversight at all times
  • Solid skills with CAD software (e.g. MicroStation or AutoCAD)
  • Programming skills with Python/MATLAB/R
  • You are fluent in written and spoken German and English (both with C1 Levels)
