airsight is expanding its Airport Master Planning capabilities through cooperation with Traces, bringing together expertise across airside, terminal, landside and Airport City planning to support airport development projects worldwide.
For more than 25 years, airsight has supported airports with planning, operations and infrastructure projects on the airside. Through this collaboration, the company is broadening its capabilities to provide a more integrated approach to airport development, combining established airside expertise with specialist knowledge in terminal planning, capacity analysis, passenger flows, architecture and project management.
The cooperation reflects developments across the aviation industry. Alongside traditional capacity planning, airports are increasingly addressing challenges related to infrastructure modernisation, decarbonisation, resilience, energy transition and emerging aviation technologies. By strengthening its Airport Master Planning competence, airsight aims to help airports address these topics within a coherent long-term development strategy.
Combining complementary expertise
The experts at Traces bring extensive experience from major airport development projects across Germany and worldwide, including a strong professional background within the Munich Airport environment. The team has contributed to a wide range of airport, terminal, capacity and infrastructure projects, complementing airsight's expertise in airside planning and airport operations.

The initiative is led by a core team of specialists from both organisations and builds on the strong foundation of airsight’s existing Planning Department. airsight’s established expertise in aerodrome planning, airside infrastructure and airport operations, represented by experts such as Olaf C. Bünck, Denis Thiemer, Konstantin Metke and Reiko Schroeder, is complemented by the addition of specialist expertise from Traces. Robert Brinkmann contributes expertise in capacity assessment, passenger flows and terminal planning, while Dr.-Ing. Diana Zitzmann brings expertise in project management and the development of existing buildings. Pedro Oliveira complements the team with specialist expertise in architecture and terminal planning.
This combination of operational, technical and strategic expertise enables the team to support projects ranging from focused planning studies to larger airport development programmes.
