Managing aeronautical data is one of the many tasks of an airport operator. With EU Regulation 139/2014 and the introduced updates of EU Reg. 2148, 373 and 1645, the regulatory framework has become more complex and detailed.

This course's objective is to provide participants with a clear understanding of what aeronautical data means and how it should be managed from the aerodrome operator's point of view.

Over the two training days:

  • The full data management process will be explained, from the originator to the transmission to the AIS provider.

  • Regulatory requirements and practical solutions to ensure data quality in compliance with international and national standards will be examined in detail.

  • Participants will be introduced to the fundamentals of the AIS service, with a focus on its main products and the different end users who rely on aeronautical data for various operational purposes
