The course provides an introduction and understanding of operational delivery, performance/compliance assurance, and provides the contextual relationship of how personal actions, oversight and decision making can impact or enhance the expected performance of the airfield within the areas of regulation, safety and operational excellence.

Darren Williams

Darren is a highly motivated and performance-driven aviation professional with 30 years of experience working in airport operations, compliance and project management with a focus on customer satisfaction and on-time delivery.

As Vice President Airside Service Delivery for both Dubai International and Dubai World Central, Darren was accountable for full regulatory oversight as well as setting and implementing the strategy and vision of the department to support operations to the scale of 90mppa and 1200 aircraft movements per day. 

He also actively supported the industry as a member of the ACI WORLD SAFETY & TECHNICAL STANDING COMMITTEE (STSC).

Darren specialises in Airfield Capacity, Airport Operations, Management of Change, Aerodrome Regulation, Risk Management and implementing operational strategies aligned to safety, throughput and service.

During the course of his career, he has been accountable for delivering multiple complex projects such as runway rehabilitation, certification and commissioning of new aerodromes, implementation of capacity driven Masterplans and sustainable operational improvements aligned to On Time Performance, flow and delay.

Organisational Details

The course hours are scheduled as follows:

first training day:  10:00 am - 6:00 pm
mid-training days:  9:00 am - 5:00 pm
last training day:    8:00 am - 4:00 pm

At the end of the course, all participants will receive an airsight certificate based on EASA training regulations, which is highly recognized throughout the aviation industry.
