EU/EASA aerodrome regulations are very complex and introduce numerous requirements for senior management and, especially, for accountable managers. As well as being given new responsibilities, aerodrome management will be held directly accountable for non-compliances and failure to improve performance. Therefore, there is an essential need for aerodrome management to have a clear understanding of the content of the regulations and how to implement them within their organisation.
This 2-day course provides a swift introduction, and will focus on the salient points of management accountability. The course's general content introduces the new regulations, differences, where relevant, to ICAO requirements, as well as the consequences for aerodrome management in terms of accountability and responsibilities. It provides clear guidelines for maintaining certification status and managing the Certification Basis and flexibility options (ELOS, SC and DAAD) that are at the disposal of operators to efficiently manage deviations.
This course ensures managers have sufficient knowledge of the necessary organisational and operational requirements and are able to demonstrate their competence in the application of their duties. Particular attention will be paid to risk-based decision making and allocation of resources, as required under these new requirements.
Participants will also gain familiarity with the process for addressing permanent and temporary Changes with focus placed on safety assessments and the process for demonstrating compliance.
A certificate is delivered at the end of the course as required by EASA.
- As time is very limited for most managers, this course can be held at your premises based on your organisation’s requirements (Inhouse). As an Inhouse course, it can also be adapted to different levels of management: a half-day introductory course for senior managers (e.g. CFO) or a one and half days’ course for line managers (e.g. accountable managers).
airsight offers this training course on request, worldwide. At the end of the course, all participants will receive an airsight certificate based on EASA training regulations, which is highly recognized throughout the aviation industry.
