A-CDM enjoys continuous top-level support by all industry organisations (i.e. ACI, CANSO, IATA, EUROCONTROL) because it delivers significant and proven benefits to all airport partners. The basis of A-CDM, working together and sharing a common world view, has become even more important as the industry struggles to recover from the COVID-19 crisis.

Although airport capacity is temporarily not the most pressing issue, the need for efficient operations (i.e. optimum utilisation of available assets) not affected by airport delays will assume paramount importance in the post-crisis environment.

The current situation offers also a unique opportunity to develop recovery plans that incorporate the most effective tools and concepts and hence create a new normal that actually exceeds the capabilities of the pre-crisis situation.

A-CDM is one of the most cost-effective and immensely powerful tools that can be seamlessly integrated in any recovery effort.

However, A-CDM benefits are only realised if it is implemented in a complete and consistent way. In order to prepare airport partners for local A-CDM implementation, there is a need for complete understanding of the concept and practice of A-CDM. This knowledge also needs to be put in the world view that will prevail in the post-crisis aviation world.

This highly interactive course provides participants with all the knowledge necessary for full understanding of the concept and practice of the tool. The very widespread experience with A-CDM collected before the crisis is transferred into the most likely post-crisis scenarios, supplemented by practical considerations of how best to integrate A-CDM into the recovery plans of the different partners.
