Baggage Handling Services and Performance

Baggage handling is a key service benchmark for airline customers. Incidents such as delayed or mishandled bags have a negative impact on passenger experience and can severely influence customer’s future travel and airport choices.

The need to provide a consistently high standard of baggage handling requires effective forms of collaboration between airports, airlines and their handlers. Central to achieving this is the provision of reliable and resilient baggage handling systems (BHS) and the IT and messaging platforms that make them function.

airsight’s two-day training course has been designed to give an introduction to the topic for a wide range of disciplines and backgrounds. The course will cover a description of the baggage services required to support the differing needs of airlines and airports.

Participants explore the baggage handling systems, what is required to be legally complaint and what is key in delivering optimal end to end baggage handling performance.
